HRHCare Comité Latino is a community-based volunteer organization: for the community, by the community. It provides free services and programs with the goal of educating, engaging, and empowering the overall community, and especially new immigrant populations.

Our Mission

To serve the health and social needs of the overall community, with a focus on new immigrant and undeserved populations.
To create positive social change through education, engagement, and empowerment.
All of our services, programs and events are free. Our Promotores/as de Salud, or community health workers, are trained volunteers who provide health education and outreach.

Referrals to Medical and Behavioral Health Services
Referrals to other service providers in the community
Workshops on health, housing, immigration, and workers’ rights, and more!

Our operating hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am – 5pm (closed for lunch from 1pm – 2pm). We are closed Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Comité Latino is led by members of the commuity. Volunteers form committees to carry out services, programs, and events.

We welcome in-kind and monetary donations from individuals and businessess.

Our Events
Three Kings Day: Based on the holiday tradition, this family event aims to share the Latin American culture with the community at large.

Women’s Empowerment Day: Featuring guest speakers, the women’s group, and Promotores de Salud, this event focuses on women’s issues and ways to empower women in the community.

Celebrating Art through Diversity: This event shares the rich culture and diversity of Peekskill through works of local artists.
