HRHCare VP of Behavioral Health Receives Planetree Award for Excellence in Patient Care

ljPeekskill, NY – HRHCare Community Health is pleased to announce that Lorna Johnson, LCSW-R, VP of Behavioral Health, has been awarded the Planetree Spirit Award for Excellence in Patient Care. The HRHCare Planetree Institute presents these awards to employees who go above and beyond to make health care more personalized and create a warm and welcoming environment for all.

For the past 27 years, Lorna Johnson has shown unparalleled dedication to the mission of HRHCare and gone above and beyond to advocate for the needs of her patients. A licensed social worker and administrator who has exemplified excellence in every aspect of patient care, she has built a team that reflects the same high level of quality. She has served as a member of the HRHCare Executive Team for the past 12 years and provided key leadership in administration and clinical services, specializing in behavioral health. When asked about her long-standing dedication to HRHCare, she spoke of “The broad range of quality services and the professionalism, compassion and dedication of the staff. The mission of patient-centered care is at the forefront of all we do, and we seek to make our patients active participants in their care.”

Ms. Johnson is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and serves on the Behavioral Health Clinical Subcommittee of CHCANYS. She is an avid gardener, music lover, and enjoys traveling with her family to the Caribbean Islands and the United Kingdom as often as she can. She is also an active member of her community, volunteering for various fundraising events and activities.
