NYS Assemblyman Fred Thiele Visits HRHCare Kraus Family Health Center in Southampton

Southampton, NY – On Thursday, May 18th, New York State Assemblyman Fred Thiele visited the HRHCare Kraus Family Health Center in Southampton (located on the Southampton Hospital campus at 330 Meeting House Lane). Led by HRHCare President and CEO Anne Kauffman Nolon, and joined by Shinn Estate Vineyard founders Barbara Shinn and David Page, the tour gave the Assemblyman a chance to see the state-of-the-art facility, and learn more about the high-quality primary and preventive health services for which HRHCare is known.

“I was pleased to join with President and CEO Anne Nolon and her staff to tour the HRHCare Kraus Family Health Center in Southampton,” said  Assemblyman Fred Thiele. “As a Federally Qualified Health Center, the health center in Southampton provides the full range of primary health services to more than 4800 patients, including veterans and seniors. The center is a critical link to needed health care for underserved and vulnerable members of the South Fork community. I was impressed not only with the quality of services offered, but also the professional and friendly atmosphere. The facility demonstrates the improvements that we have made in our goal to provide access to quality health care to East End residents, regardless of means.”

HRHCare Southampton offers primary and preventive medical care, dentistry, women’s health services, behavioral health services, nutrition counseling, connections to substance abuse treatment programs, and medical transportation services. The health center currently has 19 family medicine residents, and offers a robust prenatal program in partnership with Southampton Hospital.

“This health center provides Southampton residents with an array of comprehensive health care services under one roof,” said Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, President and CEO of HRHCare. “Our thanks to Assemblyman Thiele for partnering with us to keep Southampton in good health by facilitating access to high-quality care for all.”
