Brightpoint Bay Street Outpatient Addiction Treatment Center on Staten Island Opens Doors to Renovated Space

STATEN ISLAND, NY Hudson River Health Care (HRHCare) is proud to announce the grand re-opening of The Brightpoint Bay Street Outpatient Addiction Treatment Center in St. George, Staten Island, after a complete renovation. The Center’s ribbon-cutting on Friday, June 28served as its public introduction as a member of HRHCare.

“We are so proud to be here to re-open the newly renovated Brightpoint Bay Street Addiction Treatment Center,” said Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, CEO, HRHCare. “This center will continue to provide comprehensive, expert substance use disorder services, and help keep Staten Island in good health.”

“Brightpoint Health and Community Health Action work together to provide services that address the continuum of care for substance use disorder,” said Diane Arneth, Chief Community Services Officer, Brightpoint Health. “This renovated space shows our dedication to changing the environment for people who are struggling. We provide the compassionate care they deserve in a bright and open setting that supports innovation and collaboration in treatment.”

The OASAS-licensed addiction treatment program originally opened in 2004 as a part of Community Health Action of Staten Island (CHASI). Since then, the program has helped thousands of Staten Islanders with outpatient substance use disorder treatment, providing individual and group counseling, and connections to services. The Center serves an important role in providing wrap-around care for Staten Islanders, with many CHASI and Brightpoint Health services provided in the same building, and directly across the street at the Brightpoint Bay Street Family Health Center.

The Bay Street Outpatient Addiction Treatment program works in collaboration with many Community Health Action services, providing patients with more than just treatment. Patients are connected to primary medical care on site, coordination of their health care needs, HIV and viral hepatitis testing and care, domestic violence services, food pantry services, and more. Patients are also connected to the CHASI Next Step Resource & Recovery Center at 26 Bay Street, where individuals and families can access a calendar of creative and support workshops and classes designed to support long-term recovery.
