Elba Bizoni Receives HRHCare Planetree Award for Excellence in Patient Care

elba-photoPeekskill, NY – HRHCare Community Health is pleased to announce that Elba Bizoni, HRHCare Operations Manager, has been awarded the October 2016 Planetree Spirit Award for Excellence in Patient Care. The HRHCare Planetree Institute presents these awards to employees who go above and beyond to make health care more personalized and create a warm and welcoming environment for all.

A member of the HRHCare family for the past seven years, Elba Bizoni is the Operations Manager for the HRHCare Health Centers at Walden, Goshen and New Paltz. This year however, two unique sites were entrusted to her care with the addition of Middletown and the HRHCare Mobile Health Center, a van that serves agricultural workers and others in need across the Hudson Valley. With so many Health Centers to oversee, Elba has consistently gone above and beyond to show her support for them all and has been present nearly every weekend at community events where the Mobile Health Center is making a stop. Whether on a farm or at a local parish, Elba has been there to greet everyone with a smile and ensure appropriate staffing from her dedicated team. She has handled every challenge with an extraordinary amount of grace and has facilitated hundreds of screenings and linkages to further services and programs at HRHCare through the Mobile Health Center.

“Elba is a shining example of someone anchored in mission and committed to making a difference everywhere she goes,” said Aimee Chevere, HRHCare Operations Manager. “She is committed to creating a positive working environment for her staff and has nominated many of them for Planetree awards in the past.”

Holding a degree in early childhood education, Elba previously linked the families of preschoolers with special needs to appropriate services through the Peekskill City School District. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors and is an avid hiker. A patient of HRHCare herself since she was seven years old, Elba is passionate about providing access to the same high quality care that she and her family have received.
