Anne Kauffman Nolon Receives Leadership Award from City & State Reports

City & StatePeekskill, NY – HRHCare (Hudson River HealthCare), a nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center offering a range of medical services for underserved communities throughout the Hudson Valley and Long Island, is pleased to announce that HRHCare CEO Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, was presented with a Special Leadership Award for providing quality health care to vulnerable populations throughout the New York region by City & State Reports, an affiliate of City & State Magazine. With the guidance and support of the Board of Directors and HRHCare Founding Mother and Executive Vice President the Reverend Jeannette J. Phillips, Mrs. Nolon has provided vision and leadership to HRHCare for 38 years, resulting in a staff of over 1,000 serving 135,000 patients throughout a 10 county region of southeastern New York State. Held at Hunter College in New York City, the City & State 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility Awards honored 16 individuals for their contribution to health care, hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry.

“HRHCare serves people regardless of income or their documentation status and strives to create an all-inclusive process that connects our patients to a health care home,” said Mrs. Nolon. “I am so grateful for this award as well as City & State Reports’ recognition of our exceptional social responsibility as part of their mission and the level of service provided by the entire staff of HRHCare.”

Other honorees of the City & State 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility Awards included Bridgepoint Health CEO Paul Vitale, EmblemHealth Chairman Frank Branchini and Co-CEO of United Biomedical, Inc. Mei Mei Hu. The 2015 Chairman’s Award was presented to Dr. Robert Amler, Vice President and Dean of New York Medical College, who also served as the first pediatrician at HRHCare over 35 years ago.
