HRHCare Earns Perfect Score from Health Resources Services Administration

HRSA ImagePEEKSKILL, NY – HRHCare, a nonprofit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) system offering a range of medical services for underserved communities from the Catskills and Hudson Valley to Long Island, received a perfect score for its care delivery after a recent site operational visit from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

HRHCare’s perfect score – meeting 19 out of 19 standards – is a reflection of HRHCare’s dedication to meeting all applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations in its delivery of care and services. HRSA is the primary federal agency responsible for improving access to health care, and HRHCare’s perfect score positions the system to receive maximum federal support as it continues to deliver first-class care. HRHCare is one of New York’s largest community health care providers, projects to serve 135,000 patients in the Hudson Valley and Long Island with well over 200 health care practitioners at 24 sites.

“HRHCare’s exceptional performance and perfect score is a reflection of the work we do day-in and day-out to improve the lives of our patients and foster healthy New York communities,” said Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, President and CEO of HRHCare. “Meeting these standards is critical to ensuring HRHCare and our health care centers receive the kind of support necessary to continue delivering excellent care and services, and our 100 percent score will position us well as we continue to find ways to provide the highest quality of care to New York’s most medically underserved populations.”

HRSA’s programs provide health care to people who are geographically isolated, economically or medically vulnerable, including pregnant women, mothers, and their families, the elderly, people living with HIV/AIDS and those in need of high quality primary health care.

Earlier this month, HRHCare received a $925,975 HRSA Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program grant to support quality care to people living with HIV.
