Chappaqua, NY – HRHCare, one of largest federally qualified health center (FQHC) systems in the country hosted its 11th annual gala Cornucopia: A Celebratory Benefit of Harvest & Health on Saturday, October 17th. Held at the farm-to-table restaurant Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua, the event raised over a quarter million dollars while recognizing HRHCare’s 40-year history of providing quality health care to those in need and looked to the future of the growing health care needs in the state. Funds raised at Cornucopia will go toward the HRHCare Foundation’s work supporting HRHCare in providing comprehensive, quality primary and preventive care to people in need throughout the Hudson Valley, Catskills, and Long Island.

“We are thrilled with the success of this year’s event,” said Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, President and CEO of HRHCare. “The funds we raised will bring medical and dental services to the most vulnerable and underserved populations in our communities and make sure that no matter your income, everyone has access to quality health care.”

This year’s event honored three individuals who have contributed substantially to New Yorkers’ health and wellness.

As a celebration of harvest and health, the HRHCare Foundation recognized Mimi Edelman of I & Me Farm for her passion, dedication and tireless efforts promoting the products locally grown on small farms in Westchester and the Hudson Valley.

The event also honored health care leaders Andrew S. Richter, Ph.D., Board Chair of the HRHCare Foundation and Chair of the HRHCare Board of Directors, and Steven M. Safyer, President and CEO of the Montefiore Health System, for their work in expanding community health care to everyone who needs it.

This event, sponsored in part by Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell, LLP, Entergy, Sterling National Bank and United Health Care, supported the HRHCare Foundation, with the mission of cultivating philanthropic relationships to raise charitable dollars and community awareness to enhance HRHCare’s ability to increase access for people in need of comprehensive primary and preventive care. The foundation’s work has impacted thousands of New Yorkers, providing care that they would otherwise have been unable to afford.
