HRHCare Hosts Heart Health Awareness Fair in Coram

HeartPeekskill, NY – HRHCare (Hudson River HealthCare), a nonprofit, federally qualified health care system offering a range of medical services for underserved communities throughout the Hudson Valley and Long Island, will host a Heart Health Awareness Fair on Wednesday, February 11th in honor of heart health month. The fair will be held at the HRHCare Elsie Owens Health Center, 82 Middle Country Road, Coram, NY, from 10:30 AM until 2:30 PM. This family-friendly event aims to educate all on the importance of heart health through fun activities, heart-healthy food tastings, a free raffle and lifestyle tips. Free medical screenings for blood pressure, vision, hearing and rapid HIV testing will also be available.

An additional Heart Health Awareness Fair will be facilitated by HRHCare at the Gordon Heights Fire Department, 23 Hawkins Road, Medford, NY from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 21st. In addition to many of the same activities and medical screenings, this fair will also include exercise and hands-only CPR demonstrations from the Fire Department. A continental breakfast will also be provided.

These events are being organized by HRHCare in partnership with Affinity Health Plan, Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Island Harvest, Blink Gym and the Gordon Heights Fire Department.
