IT Department Wins 1st Quarter HRHCare Planetree Innovation Award

Beacon IT TeamBeacon, NY – HRHCare Community Health is pleased to announce that the entire Information Technology (IT) Department will be presented with the 1st Quarter 2016 Planetree Spirit Award for Innovation in Patient Care. This award is presented by the HRHCare Planetree Institute to exemplary employees who find new ways to advocate for patients and create innovative ways for them to access high quality and affordable health care.

Recently HRHCare has begun to use the SysAid program, an IT service management software designed to help automate processes for help desk support including hardware configurations, data analysis, and various other tasks and projects. Since its launch at HRHCare, SysAid has already begun to allow for a more efficient flow of work assignments between departments across the network. With Stephanie Tanurdzic, Helpdesk IT Manager, spearheading the effort, the HRHCare IT Department in both the Hudson Valley and Long Island worked tirelessly to install the SysAid program and ensure a smooth process of transition. James Steed, Assistant IT Manager, organized staff training on how to effectively use SysAid and, along with the rest of the team, made himself readily available to answer questions on its operation.

“As a result of the innovative work of the IT Department, staff throughout our organization will benefit,” said Katherine Brieger, MA, RD, CDE, HRHCare Chief of Patient Experience and Staff Development. “Using SysAid will make communication and requests between departments so much simpler.”
