Mayor Rob Rolison and Senator Sue Serino Visit New HRHCare Community Health Center in Poughkeepsie

rolison-serino-nolonPoughkeepsie, NY – On Thursday, November 10th, Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison and New York State Senator Sue Serino, along with representatives from the offices of Representative Sean Patrick Maloney and Assemblyman Frank Skartados, participated in a tour of the newly opened HRHCare Community Health Center, located at 75 Washington Street. Led by HRHCare President and CEO Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, the tour gave the Mayor, Senator, and other guests a chance to see the state-of-the-art facility and learn more about the high-quality services for which HRHCare is known. At the conclusion of the tour, Senator Serino and Michael Limperopulos, District Director for Representative Maloney, presented congratulatory certificates to Mrs. Nolon on behalf of the new HRHCare Community Health Center.

“If I were a patient here I would feel so welcome by the warm feeling of this health center,” said Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison. “The beautiful surroundings help so much with the care that people are receiving. Thank you for being in the Queen City!”

HRHCare has been a presence in the city of Poughkeepsie since 1998 with locations at the Poughkeepsie Partnership Center, the Atrium at Saint Francis Hospital, and on Livingston Street near Vassar Hospital. The new health center on Washington Street has combined and expanded upon the services of the Livingston Street and Atrium health centers.

“This state-of-the-art health center is providing Poughkeepsie residents with an array of comprehensive health care services under one roof,” said Anne Kauffman Nolon, MPH, President and CEO of HRHCare. “Our thanks to Mayor Rolison, Senator Serino, Representative Maloney, and Assemblyman Skartados for partnering with us to keep Poughkeepsie in good health by facilitating access to high-quality care for all.”

Along with comprehensive primary and preventive health care services, the new health center will begin offering dental care, women’s health services, HIV care, optometry, and nutrition counseling later this year. HRHCare will introduce urgent care there in January 2017.
