DOVER PLAINS, NY – On Thursday, April 25, Assemblyman Kieran Michael Lalor (R), representing New York’s 105th Assembly District since 2012, toured The HRHCare Dover Plains Health Center. Led by HRHCare Chief Operating Officer Allison Dubois, the tour gave the Assemblyman a chance to see the Dover Plains facility and learn more about the high-quality primary and preventive health services that Hudson River Health Care (HRHCare) delivers in Eastern Dutchess County.
“HRHCare plays an important role in the Dover Plains community,” said Assemblyman Kieran Michael Lalor, 105th NY Assembly District. “HRHCare provides education and care for our residents, which was very evident in my tour of the facility, and I had the pleasure of meeting with dedicated staff and patients. Clearly, HRHCare is a vital part of the Dover Plains community, and essential to the constituents of the 105th Assembly District.”
During his visit, the Assemblyman learned from HRHCare Dover Plains staff about partnerships that HRHCare has with local organizations, including co-sponsoring health fairs and a community dinner with Dover Elementary School, diabetes education and prediabetes screenings with the local Lions Club chapter, and long-standing collaborations with the Rural Health Network. In addition to touring the health center, the Assemblyman had the chance to visit the organization’s Hudson Valley Mobile Health Center, operated in partnership with ArchCare, which brings much-needed health care services directly to community members who otherwise might not be able to access them. The Assemblyman, who served as a Marine, was also able to have a conversation with Patrick Elfnor and Patrick Flynn, two senior veterans who shared their positive experiences as HRHCare patients, and what the health center means to the community.A
