Peekskill, NY – HRHCare Community Health, a nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center offering a range of medical services for underserved communities throughout the Hudson Valley and Long Island, is proud to partner with the Preservation Company, Inc. of Peekskill to present a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Sunday, January 17th. This year the Preservation Company will present Lafern Joseph and Myrna Santos with Community Service Awards and give special recognition to the Peekskill Branch of the NAACP. There will also be a display of art available for purchase inspired by the life and message of Dr. King.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will take place at 4 PM on Sunday, January 17th at Colonial Terrace, 119 Oregon Road in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Tickets to the event are $85, and any reservations or donations can be sent to:

The Preservation Company seeks to increase access and improve the supply of housing for low and moderate-income households and to contribute to community development and revitalization. Founded through HRHCare in response to the housing crisis in Westchester County, the program was created upon recognition for the need for healthcare and housing to go hand in hand.
Since the first units of transitional housing were purchased in 1987, the Preservation Company has strived to meet all housing needs, owning and managing rental properties, offering home improvement grants; home ownership counseling; tenant services; and additional housing programs. Led by the health center Founding Mother Rev. Jeannette Phillips, The Preservation Company has served thousands of people in Peekskill and the surrounding areas and helped fulfill the American Dream for hundreds of families.
