NYS Health Commissioner Identifies HRHCare Chief of Clinical Quality as Hypertension Expert to Speak at Medical Grand Rounds Program

Peekskill, NY – On March 21st, Dr. Sophia McIntyre, Chief of Clinical Quality and Physician Leadership Development at HRHCare Community Health, presented on baby boomer hypertension as part of New York State Commissioner of Health Howard A. Zucker’s Medical Grand Rounds Program. Held in the Medical Alumni Auditorium at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY, presenters at this session were identified by the Commissioner as experts around frequently undiagnosed conditions for baby boomers, persons born between 1945 and 1965. HRHCare Director of Hispanic Services Honored by Westchester NAACP

On Saturday, March 18th, Wilfredo Morel, Director of Hispanic Services at HRHCare, was honored by the Westchester NAACP ACT-SO Coalition at the 34th Annual ACT-SO Community Awards Breakfast. Mr. Morel was presented with a community service award for his significant service and leadership in the African American community of Peekskill. The other honorees this year were Lena Anderson, Esq., Program Developer at Legacy Pathways and President of the White Plains/Greenburgh Branch of the NAACP; DaMia Harris-Maden, Executive Director of the Mt. Vernon Youth Bureau; and Francis Welch, retired White Plains public school teacher.

Pay It Forward Community Dinner in Dover Plains

On Saturday, March 18th, HRHCare Community Health will be sponsoring a Pay It Forward Community Dinner from 5 to 7 PM at Dover Elementary School. Sponsored in partnership with Eat Smart New York, this dinner is completely free of charge for diners who bring in healthy food items to support a “Nourish Your Neighbor” food drive in Eastern Dutchess. Free Living Healthy with Diabetes Workshops in Poughkeepsie

HRHCare Community Health will be hosting a free, six-week education program for people living with diabetes, their caregivers, and loved ones, starting April 4th, at the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health in Poughkeepsie.
