AmeriCorps Week

This week marks AmeriCorps Week, and HRHCare is proud to recognize the incredible impact that our Healthy Future Corps Members have on our communities and the lives of our patients. AmeriCorps Week is celebrated each year as a time to salute AmeriCorps members and alumni for their service, thank community partners, and communicate the incredible mission of the AmeriCorps program.

For over twenty years, HRHCare has hosted AmeriCorps Members who wish to serve their community by improving access to primary and preventive health services. AmeriCorps Members at HRHCare are trained in various topics and methods to provide tools for reaching medically underserved communities. Members serve the health centers and surrounding communities of our organization, especially in areas of interest to the member and his or her educational and career aspirations. Members are involved in numerous community health initiatives, including general medicine; women’s health; dental services; chronic disease management; health education; mental health services, including substance abuse management; housing assistance programs; youth programs; and outreach and services for vulnerable populations, including the homeless, racial and ethnic minorities, persons living with HIV/AIDS, and migrant farm workers.

HRHCare is currently recruiting members for our AmeriCorps program. For more information, visit: hrhcare1.wpengine.com/americorps/
