Poughkeepsie Healthy Choices and Living Healthy with Diabetes Workshops

Hudson River Health Care will be offering two free, six-week education programs beginning this March.

The Living Healthy with Diabetes workshop series is designed for people living with diabetes, their caregivers, and loved ones. The workshops will help with:

  • Finding practical ways to deal with sick days, fatigue, and pain
  • Discovering better food and exercise choices
  • Understanding new treatment options
  • Learning better ways to talk with your doctor and loved ones about your health

Held in Suite 106 of the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health (85 Civic Center Plaza) in Poughkeepsie, this series will be held every Tuesday from March 20th to April 24th between 1:30 and 3:30 pm.

The Healthy Choices workshop series presents effective ways to deal with health issues including arthritis, asthma, COPD, diabetes, memory loss, depression, high blood pressure, and chronic pain.

The workshops will take place at HRHCare Poughkeepsie (75 Washington Street), and will be held every Wednesday from March 28th to May 2nd between 1 and 3pm. An open house will be held on Wednesday, March 21st between 1 and 2pm.

Participants in both of these workshop series will have the chance to receive a $25 gift card for participating in four or more classes.
