Hudson River Health Care Awarded Sexual Risk Avoidance Education Grant

YONKERS, NY – Hudson River Health Care (HRHCare) has been awarded a $1M grant from the NYSDOH Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) Program. HRHCare will use these funds over a five-year period to launch a comprehensive SRAE initiative in Yonkers, targeting low-income youth through after-school and community-based summer programming. Through the Making a Difference! initiative, HRHCare will deliver medically-accurate, evidence-based programming to provide young people with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to reduce their risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV, and teen pregnancy.
