Black History Month Artist’s Reception in Peekskill

Join HRHCare in celebrating Black History Month on February 15 with a reception for visual artist Wilhelmina Grant of SISTAAH Studio in the Atrium of the HRHCare Jeannette J. Phillips Health Center.

Wilhelmina Grant’s show Kitchen & Curb is a juxtaposition of found objects including discarded wood, metals, and plastic. The process of transforming these objects into art is a metaphor for renewal and rejuvenation, which mirrors the artist’s experience as a two-time survivor of breast cancer.
