HRHCare is pleased the launch of a six-week Mejor Vida Program, a Healthy Choices New York self-management course given in Spanish, offered in Peekskill starting on March 5th. This community-based workshop is free of charge and will tackle topics such as healthy eating; exercise; managing depression; appropriate use of medication; effective communication with family and health professionals; relaxation techniques; how to navigate the health care system; and new health treatment evaluation. A native New Yorker and consummate jewelry maker, lamp worker and quilter, Ms. Robinson will present a series of her own quilts featuring designs used as communication signals amongst slaves escaping to freedom on the Underground Railroad.
