Free Spanish-Language Mejor Vida Health Course in Spring Valley

HRHCare is pleased to announce that our first six-week Mejor Vida Program, a Healthy Choices New York self-management course given entirely in Spanish, will be offered free of charge in Spring Valley starting on January 27th. This community-based workshop will tackle topics such as healthy eating; exercise; managing depression; appropriate use of medication; effective communication with family and health professionals; relaxation techniques; how to navigate the health care system; and new health treatment evaluation. Alamo Farmworkers Community Center Hosts Second Annual Holiday Store

The HRHCare Alamo Farmworkers Community Center is proud to announce their second annual Holiday Store for farmworkers and their families on December 20th and 21st! Through this program farmworkers and their families are able to purchase gifts at a highly discounted rate, approximately 10% of the estimated price, with all of the proceeds used to support additional programs directly serving the same community. Last year the program was extremely successful, reaching over 130 families. LIHC Awarded the Population Health Improvement Program (PHIP) Contract

HRHCare is pleased to announce that the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council, an extension of the Long Island Health Collaborative in which HRHCare is a participant, was awarded the Population Health Improvement Program (PHIP) contract for the Long Island region by the New York State Department of Health; a total award of $2.4 million for a period of two years.
