FAQ – Wyandanch

How is care at a HRHCare Health Center different from going to a private doctors office?

HRHCare provides care to meet the needs of a whole person whatever they may be.  We partner together with you and your health care team to meet your unique needs.  Best of all, we work together to coordinate everything.

Did you know that we have nutritionists and social workers on our staff?  They work together with your doctor to help meet your needs.

Is HRHCare a Clinic?

No, we are not a Clinic.  A Health Center provides and coordinates your health in partnership with our patients.  We are a medical practice where you can choose your doctor.  We do have walk-in opportunities for sick patients but appointments are needed.

Did you know that by getting your care at a health center, you have access to more services because it is part of our model of care?

Does every HRHCare Health Center have the same services?

If your doctor and team of health care providers determine that you are in need of care that is not currently offered at your health center, we will refer you to one of our other health centers or coordinate care with the appropriate partner provider in the community.  We help make sure you get the care you need.

Can anyone go to a HRHCare Health Center?

Yes, we are here to provide care to everyone in the community.  Our staff, our board members and community members all use our health centers.  Whether you have insurance or not, we don’t turn anyone away.

Did you know that you may be eligible for programs that help you pay for health care?  We work with every patient to determine what they are eligible for and help sign them up.

How much does medical and dental care cost at HRHCare?

The truth is, it depends if you have insurance or are eligible for other health care payment programs.  We also have a sliding fee scale based on income and family size.  We know it is uncomfortable to talk about but we do our best to work with you to make care affordable for you.  We never turn anyone away.

Can you help me get coverage for care?

HRHCare is here to help you learn if you are eligible for programs to get your care covered and to apply to those programs.  This will be done at your first visit.
