Free Narcan Training in Peekskill

HRHCare will be offering a free Narcan (Naloxone) training session on Saturday, March 30 at The Field Library in Peekskill. Narcan is the life-saving antidote to opioid overdose. Participants will learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, how to respond to an overdose, Narcan administration, the benefits of New York’s 911 Good Samaritan Law, and the importance of calling emergency medical services. There will also be a discussion on how the opioid epidemic is impacting communities of color, and the opportunity to hear personal stories from those on the journey to recovery.
