HRHCare Kingston Grand Opening

Kingston, New York – Hudson River Health Care celebrated the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art Kingston Health Center on Tuesday, joining affiliates Nuvance Health and community leaders to mark the occasion.

Formerly the Macy’s store in the Town of Ulster mall, the vacant big box store has been transformed into a modern medical facility.

At the site HRHCare provides primary care, women’s health, behavioral health, nutrition services, and care coordination. In addition, HRHCare is providing family medicine training to Nuvance physician residents through its Graduate Medical Education program.

“We are truly thrilled to welcome patients into our brand-new, state-of-the-art Community Health Center at Kingston,” said Allie Dubois, HRHCare EVP and Chief Operating Officer. “With Nuvance Health, we are bringing a full range of exceptional primary and preventive care to even more individuals and families in Ulster County.”

The kickoff event welcomed business and community leaders for a ribbon- cutting ceremony, as well as a tour through the facility, which also includes Nuvance Urgent Care, imaging services, lab services, and neurology.

“This new location brings healthcare providers and services closer to the homes and workplaces of Ulster County residents, who have long trusted us with their care,” said Dr. Christopher Lehrach, president of Nuvance Health’s medical groups. “It’s a beautiful, modern space and we look forward to continuing to provide excellent healthcare in our community.”

At the event, guests also had the opportunity to meet onsite residents, as well as Dr. Milly Bhalani, HRHCare’s Family Medicine Physician at Kingston.

“Family medicine allows me to build a relationship with my patients from pregnancy to birth and continue throughout their lives,” Dr. Bhalani told the gathered crowd.

“Working here in Kingston has allowed me to give back by welcoming not only immigrant families, but all patients, into our practice and treating them with kindness, dignity and quality care with great perspective,” Dr. Bhalani said. “And if that isn’t enough to complete my day, teaching our wonderful resident physicians and working side by side with them is certainly icing on the cake. I am truly grateful to be in a job where relationships, education and knowledge are a consistent part of my day.”
