HRHCare Offers Living Healthy With Diabetes Course in Suffolk County

Coram, NY – HRHCare (Hudson River HealthCare), a nonprofit, federally qualified health care system offering a range of medical services for underserved communities throughout the Hudson Valley and Long Island, is organizing a free six-week Healthy Choices NY education program, in collaboration with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, for people living with diabetes starting on October 2nd.

 

The Living Healthy with Diabetes workshops will help you with:

 

  • Finding practical ways to deal with sick days, fatigue and pain.
  • Discovering better food and exercise choices.
  • Understanding new treatment choices.
  • Learning better ways to talk with your doctor and loved ones about your health.
  • Learning real-life skills for living a full and healthy life.

 

The Living Healthy with Diabetes workshops will be held every Thursday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:30 PM at the HRHCare Elsie Owens Health Center, 82 Middle Country Road in Coram, New York. The dates are October 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th, and November 6th.
