HRHCare Opens New Patchogue Health Center and Re-Opens Renovated Brentwood Health Center

Patchogue, New York – Hudson River Health Care (HRHCare) celebrated the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art Patchogue Health Center on Tuesday, joining Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, state and local elected officials, and dozens of community leaders to mark the occasion.

With almost 10,000 additional square feet, the new $24 million facility – built with County, State, and HRHCare funds – greatly expands HRHCare’s services in Patchogue, including primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, podiatry, behavioral health, nutrition, and HIV and hepatitis C services. HRHCare will begin operating a new urgent care center at the facility in December, and will also add radiology, dental care, and optometry in the coming months.

HRHCare Patchogue currently has 54 staff members and serves nearly 9,000 patients annually.

HRHCare will maintain a presence near its former health center in the village’s downtown by opening a new Community Outreach Office, which will connect community members to health care services in Patchogue and throughout Suffolk. The outreach office will also offer health insurance enrollment assistance and other social services through partner agencies.

Following the grand opening in Patchogue, HRHCare celebrated the re-opening of the Brentwood Health Center, which underwent a major renovation. The rejuvenated facility includes an expanded dental suite and a fresh aesthetic. HRHCare will also add urgent care services there.

“Today’s grand openings demonstrate Hudson River Health Care’s unwavering commitment to Suffolk County. With expanded services at both sites, we are better positioned to meet the needs of the thousands of patients we serve annually and prepared for the growth we expect in years to come. None of this would have been possible without the leadership and partnership from our County Executive Steve Bellone, the Suffolk County Board of Legislators, the New York State Department of Health, our State Legislators, and communities at large, so we are extraordinarily grateful for their efforts to make this day come to fruition,” said Anne Kauffman-Nolon, CEO of Hudson River Health Care.

“Access to comprehensive, quality health care services is critical to promoting and maintaining the health of our communities,” said County Executive Bellone. “I want to congratulate Hudson River Health Care on the opening of their two centers, and look forward to our continued partnership as we work to expand care for residents across the County.”

“I am privileged to be a part of this exciting day in our community. Access to high quality, affordable, health care impacts countless lives, not only in the Third Senatorial District, but throughout New York State. HRHCare has over 40 years of experience delivering state-of-the-art services to New York State residents, often serving in communities where it is needed the most. I am thankful for HRHCare’s steadfast commitment to the communities they serve and the people they help. I am proud to have them in my district, and I know that the people of the Third Senatorial District will be healthier because of them,” said Senator Monica R. Martinez.

“At a time when so many of our neighbors struggle to make ends meet, it is more important than ever to have reliable health service providers investing in our communities to ensure that our residents receive the care they need. The communities of Brentwood and Patchogue will be well-served by Hudson River Health Care, and I congratulate and thank them for continuing to provide high quality, affordable health care here on Long Island,” said Assemblymember Kimberly Jean-Pierre.

“Suffolk County and Hudson River Health Care are working together to provide access to affordable health care for everyone,” said County Legislator Robert Calarco. “One of the core missions of Suffolk County is to look after the health and welfare of our residents, and this partnership has allowed us to do that. I am glad to see HRHCare making the necessary investments so that they can continue to serve the residents of Patchogue effectively.”

“I am pleased to congratulate Hudson River Health Care on today’s grand openings and am proud to support the County’s continued investment in the health of our residents. Hudson River Health Care is a terrific resource for Suffolk County, and the newly renovated Brentwood Health Center shows their commitment to this community,” said County Legislator Sam Gonzalez.
