HRHCare Responds to Measles Outbreaks

In response to the case of measles confirmed by Suffolk County health officials on April 25, and the over 200 cases of measles confirmed in Rockland County, public officials are asking residents to check their measles vaccination status and get vaccinated, if needed.

All HRHCare Health Centers offer measles vaccinations (also known as an MMR vaccine). If you are unsure about your vaccination status, call your health center and check. Anyone who believes they may have contracted measles should call an HRHCare Health Center and speak with someone about your reported symptoms. Common signs of measles are high fever, cough, runny nose, watery eyes, tiny white spots inside the mouth, and a rash.

HRHCare has ten health center sites in Suffolk County and three in Rockland County. To find the health center closest to you, click here.
