Monticello Patient Representative Wins Planetree Award for Excellence in Patient Care

susuMonticello, NY – HRHCare (Hudson River HealthCare), a nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center offering a range of medical services for underserved communities throughout the Hudson Valley and Long Island, is proud to announce that Sulaine Sanchez, a patient representative at the HRHCare Health Center at Monticello, will be presented with a Planetree Spirit Award for excellence in patient care. HRHCare’s Planetree Institute presents these awards to employees who go above and beyond to make health care more personalized and create a warm and welcoming environment for all.

Sulaine Sanchez has been greeting patients with a kind word and a smile from the front desk of the HRHCare Health Center at Monticello for the past seven years. Known for her caring manner and close attention to patient confidentiality, Sulaine consistently goes to great lengths to ensure each patient’s comfort, ease and sense of respect. However her warmth and generosity extend far beyond the front desk. To ensure every child had a gift they would enjoy at a recent Holiday Party held for patients of the Monticello Health Center, Sulaine made multiple trips on her own time to pick out just the right items. She is also known for her beautiful gift baskets filled with fresh fruit and other treats that she creates whenever special attention is due to one of her fellow staff. Sulaine has consistently stayed on top of new trends in optimal patient care in the ever-changing health care field and is always striving to give her best to patients. “The health care system is really evolving and I have been lucky enough to be a part of the change,” said Sulaine. “Learning about new technology, understanding the financial pressure on patients and increasing satisfaction help us bring about positive change. And with HRHCare I want to continue to be front and center to experience it.” Outside of HRHCare, Sulaine actively volunteers in her local school system and enjoys spending quality time and watching movies with her children.

“Sulaine’s ongoing acts of kindness happen without applause or fanfare – they are just part of her generous nature,” said Katherine Seibert, MD, from the HRHCare Health Center at Monticello. “Patients and staff all love her. The goodness just shines through!”
