LaMeshia DaCosta, FNP is a family nurse practitioner at the HRHCare Poughkeepsie Health Center. A graduate of Chamberlain University in Downes Grove, Illinois, she went on to receive her MSN as a family nurse practitioner from Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh. Prior to joining HRHCare, she served patients at Crystal Run Healthcare and Orange Regional Medical Center. Ms. DaCosta is licensed as a family nurse practitioner in the State of New York and is certified by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center.

“I decided to pursue my interest in nursing when I was in high school. I’ve always enjoyed helping others. After working in acute care as a registered nurse for 12 years, I decided to become a family nurse practitioner to provide health education and treatment to patients in a community health setting. My advice to patients is to always listen to your body. Your health is your wealth. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my four sons and my husband, reading great books, and traveling.”
